Trinidad 7 Pod Barrackpore

This chilli is named after the Barrackpore area in Trinidad where it originally comes from. The heat level for this chilli is very hot, the Trinidad 7 Pod Barrackpore Chilli is around the 1,000,000 Scoville Heat Units.

It looks similar to the Bhut Jolokia chillies from India The 7 pod Jonah and the 7 pods red.

When fully grown the Trinidad 7 Pod  Barackpore can grow up to 120 – 130 cm high and they get bushy and the pods are very heavy and clock in at around the 10 to 15 grams each. You should be able to get between 2 – 3 KG per plant of fresh fruit during the chilli season, which lasts approximate 4 to 6 months.
