Habanero Brown Congo AKA Chocolate Brown Congo
Originally from the Caribbean and more exactly Jamaica.
The heat level of this chilli is extremly hot. This variety is also know as Chocolate Brown Congo and has a rich flavour. Even stronger than average Habaneros : around 400,000 to 450,000 SHU instead of 350,000 SHU.
This would do well in marinades or for your home made chutneys and sauces.
When fully grown the Brown Congo can grow up to around 1m tall and has green leaves and creamy-yellow flowers. It produces heavy yields of 5cm long by 4cm wide wrinkled hot peppers which turn from green to chocolate brown when mature. It gets really bushy and wide as well and lots and lots of fruit… and you should be able to get between 4 to 5 KG per plant of fresh fruit during the chilli season which lasts approximate 4 to 6 months.
Belongs to the Genus and species of Capsicum Chinense
