Black Prince (Green Leaf) Chilli
Originally from Mexico, South America where they are used in the various local dishes that need the flavour of chilli but not per se the heat of a hot dish. You can use this chilli fresh offcourse but also dried.
The heat level of this chilli is not too hot. Will do well in salads, great in a sandwich wrap or any Mexican, Italian style cooking which needs some nice red colour for the looks and not too much heat.
The chilli pods go from green to dark and red over time. The stay dark for quite some time before they turn red, hence the name “black Prince”. When fully grown the Black Prince Chilli can grow up to 45 – 60 cm high. The flower of this chilli is a beautiful purple colour and will add a good look to your garden when they are flowering! They do get bushy and you should be able to get a lot of fresh fruit during the chilli season, which lasts approximate 4 to 6 months.
Belongs to the Genus and species of Capsicum Annuum
