Originally from French Guinea and named after the city of Cayenne there.
Related to the Jalapeno chillies and the bell chillies
The heat level of this chilli is medium (30,000 to 50,000 SHU).
The Cayenne Chilli is perfect for seasoning pickles and salsa.
The chilli pods go from green to red at maturity which take between 90 to 110 days from transplanting.
This plant can be very productive and gives you fruits that grow 12 to 15 cm long during the chilli season which lasts approximate 4 to 6 months.
